Dakshin Dinajpur, right at the epicenter of North Bengal, epitomizes the confluence of history and culture. The district was born after the bifurcation of West Dinajpur in 1992. Under the inspiring leadership and guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Ms. Mamata Banerjee, Dakshin Dinajpur is marching ahead in all development parameters. The district administration has taken up many innovative initiatives apart from diversifying signature government schemes.
